Our Recommended Journeys
Isla Victoria
Isla Victoria offers a network of trails that will take you through a wide and varied Patagonian forest populated by both native trees and flora introduced from far-away countries. Join us for a trek deep into nature’s incredible beauty. We’ll also keep an eye out for rare bird species – some of which are unique to the Patagonian Andean forest.
Bosque de Arrayanes
This spectacular forest stars the myrtle tree, which reaches 18 meters tall, has a cold and cinnamon-colored trunk and white flowers. These myrtle (or arrayán) trees are estimated to be 300 years old. Thanks to its inimitable beauty, this forest has been declared a Natural Monument.
Puerto Blest
Following a leisurely journey down the Blest Arm of Nahuel Huapi Lake, during which we’ll pass by the Centinela Island, the resting place of Argentina’s famous Perito Dr Francisco Moreno, we arrive at Port Blest. We’ll explore the Cántaros Falls and its many beautiful cascades. The lush Valdivian temperate rainforest which surrounds these waterfalls provides the backdrop to one of the lake’s most stunning corners.
Brazo Tristeza
Nestled beneath the imposing glacier peak of Mt Tronador, the Tristeza Arm is dotted with waterfalls and creeks descending into Nahuel Huapi Lake. Our destination, at the extreme end of the arm, is the mouth of the Frey River, an unmatched fishing hole. From here, select from activities including trekking to a one-of-a-kind and charming waterfall.

The 200-meter wide mouth of the Millaqueo Creek is an exclusive destination for fly-fishers. It’s here that Lake Huahuanhue is born. Known for its high population of speckled trout, Millaqueo also has an abundance of rainbow and brown trout.
Piedras Blancas
A spectacular beach is the highlight of this wonderful site. There is a variety of trails for walking and trekking, and perhaps even for spotting a wild deer. Piedras Blancas is a great place to relax, lunch, and enjoy lovely scenery.
FISHING EXCURSIONS
People from all over the world come to visit Nahual Huapi National Park. When they see the lake’s clear emerald waters, surrounded by mountain forests, they agree that this is a paradise for fishing enthusiasts.
Our captain, a certified and licensed fly-fishing and trolling guide, will take you to the lake’s most sought-after and highly-recommended fishing spots.
Species which were introduced into our environment include: brown trout, rainbow, speckle head, and silverhead, as well as a species of salmon that is born, matures, reproduces and dies in our lake. The size of the catch, normally between 2 and 4 kg but sometimes much greater, often surprises our guests.
Our boat is totally equipped and comfortable, making the trip a true pleasure. It’s also heated, so you never need to be concerned about the weather conditions outside.
The fishing season in our national park opens on 1st November of each year and runs through to 1st May of the following year. You may also enjoy fishing in the months of October and May, but with catch and release only.
